This drink can be enjoyed either by adding 2 spoons to hot water, or by following the traditional ceremonial steps:
Prepare utensils: Get the matcha bowl, tea brush, and tea spoon ready. Soak the bamboo brush in warm water to soften it.
Sift matcha powder: Use a fine sieve to sift 1-2 grams of matcha powder into the bowl to avoid clumps.
Heat water: Pour 70-80ml of hot water (around 80°C) into the bowl.
Stir matcha: Use the tea brush to stir the matcha and water quickly in a “W” or “Z” shape until frothy.
Enjoy: Stir well and drink directly from the bowl.
